Digital: Portraits from The deYoung Museum Residency

I had a month long residency at The DeYoung museum in 2013

I set up an environment with 8 double sided mirrored walls on wheels
(couldn’t resist throwing in a few Zed illuminated sculptures as well)
The museum visitors drew themselves in the moving mirrors.

I drew hundreds of people. Here are some.
My portraits were projected as slide shows on huge glass panels

We printed all the portraits and hung them on the walls
of the 24 x 68” deYoung Kimball gallery.

We had a closing party where the people could see their portraits on the walls.
After the party, the people took their art home with them.
